Braces and Faces Dental Centre
Braces and Faces Dental Centre offers specialist-led orthodontic treatment in Wolverhampton. The new team started at the practice in June 2019 and believe in providing high-quality treatment and treating their patients in a very friendly and caring manner. They like to spend time understanding patients' concerns to ensure they are provided with the correct treatment. The practice provides a relaxed atmosphere to ensure patients are made to feel comfortable. They also offer the latest technology using the ITERO 3D Scanner.
Braces and Faces Dental Centre offers orthodontic treatment under the NHS and Privately for both children and adults, which includes metal braces, ceramic braces, Invisalign (teen and adult) and lingual braces. They treat all aspects of children and adult orthodontics of any difficulty to create the perfect smile. We also offer general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, tooth whitening and facial rejuvenation.
The Orthodontist
Salima has been working as a Consultant and Specialist Orthodontist in the West Midlands for over 10 years. She graduated from the University of Bristol in 2001. Before commencing her Orthodontic training she undertook a number of practice and hospital rotations including Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry. She then went on to carry out specialist training in Orthodontics at the University of Manchester, gaining a Masters of Philosophy in Orthodontics and attained the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Following entry to the Orthodontic Specialist list she undertook additional higher training in orthodontics to gain the intercollegiate Speciality Fellowship in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons to gain Consultant status.
Salima is now a part-time Consultant Orthodontist at Walsall Manor Hospital and also works at Braces and Faces Dental Centre as a Specialist Orthodontist seeing both NHS and private patients for orthodontic treatment. Salima has extensive experience in all areas of orthodontics with a particular interest in the field of adult orthodontics, complex interdisciplinary treatment and the use of aesthetic braces. She is a qualified Invisalign provider.
Salima is also actively involved in teaching and is part of the West Midlands Deanery teaching programme for Orthodontic Specialists, which she thoroughly enjoys. She is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons, Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties examination. She holds the position of vice chair of the Birmingham, Black Country and Solihull Managed Clinical Network.
In her spare time Salima enjoys spending time with her family & friends, cooking and eating lots!
